Flower Preservation | Everything You Need To Know

We can create special bespoke frames from your wedding day, or occasion flowers with the aim of helping you enjoy your sentimental flowers for longer. 

 

How does it work?

  1. Email us on floriculturecompany@gmail.com with the date you would like to book, and the style/size of frame you would like, we can then secure your date with a £50 booking deposit.
  2. Approx one week before we are due to receive your flowers we will send you a reminder email for your booked date and a tracked postage label so you can ensure your flowers reach us in time. 
  3. When you are ready to post, tie or wrap your bouquet securely and place in a box to post to us 
  4. Once we receive your flowers they will be preserved and returned to you within 2-3 months when your hand preservation is complete. 
  5. Once they have been dispatched we will notify you or if you are collecting we can arrange a time and date for this. 
  6. If you have any issues with your order make sure to let us know within 5 working days. 

How do I book?

Just send us an email on floriculturecompany@gmail.com with your desired booking date and we will respond ASAP with any additional info we might need.

Do I have to book in advance?

Yes please! the only way to guarantee we have space for your bouquet is to book in advance, in busy period we turn down brides on a regular basis. Ideally we need your flowers a day or two after the wedding because leaving them longer can effect your preservation. We only require a deposit to book with the final balance not due until preservation is finished. 

Will my flowers look the same after they are finished?

We aim to maintain the beautiful form and shape of your flowers. You may find that the petals take on a slight papery or matt appearance after preservation and the colours may intensify and deepen in tone, we don't colour treat or use harsh chemicals on your flowers.  You can see examples of this on our product pages 

What are the style options?

When you email us please let us know what style and size of frame you would like, you can browse these options HERE. All prices are up to date. 

How long will my preserved bouquet last?

If treated with care your bouquet can last forever, however this is still a natural and biodegradable product. Variable factors in your environment, as well as the quality of flowers used means we can make no guarantees on the specific longevity of your flowers beyond 6 months. All flowers will be subject to some fading over time and this will vary dependant upon your environment, however they will still look beautiful. 

    How long will my order take? 

    Due to the intricate nature of our preservation work, it may take an average of 3-4 months to return your bouquet to you thought it can be quicker. It is important it takes this long to ensure you get the best result. We will make sure to update you as soon as your order is ready. 

    How do I get my bouquet to you?

    All you need to do is ensure you have securely packaged your bouquet posted it to arrive with us for your selected date. To do this we will send you a postage label to your email address a week before, you can arrange royal mail pick up from your door. You can post the whole bouquet or trim the stems if easier.  If you are local to Essex & Suffolk you are more than welcome to drop off & collect your order. 

    Do I have to pay for delivery? 

    Unless you are opting for free local drop-off & collection we charge a £30 flat rate for delivery anywhere in the UK, this ensures we can can quickly & securely receive your flowers and carefully return them to you. 

    How do I care for my flowers?

    Keep your frame out of direct sunlight and in a temperate environment, heat, damp, extreme cold & humidity can all damage your frame and harm it's longevity. Securely fix it to the wall and make sure to move carefully, do not tip it upside down.

    Can I purchase this as a wedding gift? 

    Of course! this makes a beautiful and thoughtful gift like no other, if you wish to give this as a gift please contact us and we can personally arrange that with you.

    Why is Flower Preservation Expensive?

    Each of your flowers is individually preserved by hand over a span of upto 4 months, we take time to sustainably hand create all of our bespoke frames and believe this makes for a much more beautiful end result. We charge a fraction of the original cost of wedding flowers that would otherwise be going in the bin. We are proud to be offering a range of reasonably priced options in the market so that everyone can keep a small piece of their treasured memories and the meaning flowers hold. 

    Can you preserve my flowers if I get married abroad?

    Yes! the main factor here is ensuring you get your flowers to us in good time after the wedding, wether that's bringing them home or sending them directly to us from your destination. Please note your postage costs will be EU if you wish to send them from a non UK destination.

    Why should I choose you over other preservation methods? 

    We offer a new and novel method to have your bridal or occasion flowers preserved. Competitor methods like resin can be clunky and dated & dried flowers can be dull. Our flowers come perfectly presented in a frame which you can tuck away in storage or display proudly.  

    How to take care of my preserved flowers?

    Our flowers are super easy to care for, just follow these simple steps

    • Do not put them in water! All the moisture is locked in already and they will rot quickly if you put them in water.
    • Do not put them in direct sunlight or somewhere that is too hot or cold.
    • Once finished with display if you store carefully somewhere cool and dark they will last for years to come!
    • To clean: Lightly dust + wipe preserved flowers.

    I haven't received my order?

    If the latest estimated delivery date for your order has passed and you have checked your tracking number please do get in touch with us on floriculturecompany@gmail.com. We aim to get your orders to you as quickly as possible but working with fresh flowers can be tricky! We will do our best to keep you updated. 

    Do you sell Worldwide? 

    Currently we only ship to UK + EU. Unfortunately postage costs and risk of damage during transit are not feasible for us at this time.

    Postage on all of our pre preserved floral arrangements is as follows, this will be added at checkout. 

    UK Standard (2-5 Working Days) - £3.99

    EU Standard (5-10 Working Days) - £10.99

    Your bespoke preserved arrangements have a turnaround time of 3-4 months from date received, this time is needed to fully preserve each flower by hand. We charge a flat fee for all delivery due to the products being heavy and needing extra care, this also includes postage for you to send your bouquet to us and this is charged via invoice.

    Do you accept returns/refunds? 

    Due to the delicate and perishable nature of our products and our business model we do not allow returns. We apologise for any inconvenience but please do purchase with this in mind.
